“Make A Wish” Grants A Wish…A Teen Boy Gives His Wish Away

Meet Andrew Rundle. In this picture he had not yet been diagnosed with cancer. Our family has known the Rundle family for more than 10 years. Andrew, even as a young boy, was a remarkable boy and had such a huge heart.

In this picture Andrew was serving in Haiti on a short missions trip, working hard as they broke ground on a new center for disabled kids – digging and clearing away tons of dirt in 110 degree weather with 100 percent humidity and then he spent time sweetly interacting with the children in the orphanage – he’s just the kind of guy you like right away.

We have watched Andrew fight this battle with an amazing attitude of gratitude.  Amazed by his courage and strength and zeal for life. Our whole family, but especially our 8 yr old son, also named Andrew, has prayed diligently for their Andrew, often requesting our church family to pray for Andrew to be healed. You see, Andrew is the type of young man that once you meet him, you are forever changed.

Andrew Rundle We need a miracle!

It looks as if Andrew’s days are not many here with his family & friends but he still has a heart to give. Andrew chose to give his “Make A Wish” gift of money to a local Food Bank where he had often been a volunteer. It does not surprise me in the least to learn that many times after he had finished a round of chemo he’d have his sister drop him off there for him to serve.

Today Fox News came by the hospital to interview Andrew to hear in his own words why he chose to give his “Make A Wish” away.

We continue to lift this dear family up as they treasure these last days with their amazing gift of Andrew. We know this is not our home…yet saying goodbye for now is so hard!

Blessings to you, sweet Rundle family!

With all our love, prayer and support!
